Welcome to Zeylona Travels. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of our services, including booking tours, making payments, and your travel experience with us. By booking a tour or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Confirmation

  • **Booking Request:** All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Zeylona Travels. A booking is considered a request until confirmed.
  • **Confirmation:** A booking is confirmed only when Zeylona Travels issues a written confirmation (e.g., via email) and receives the required deposit.
  • **Accuracy of Information:** You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during the booking process, including passport details, dietary restrictions, and medical conditions. Zeylona Travels is not liable for issues arising from inaccurate information.

2. Payments

  • **Deposit:** A non-refundable deposit (typically 25-30% of the total tour cost) is required at the time of booking confirmation. The exact deposit amount will be specified in your personalized quote.
  • **Final Payment:** The remaining balance of the tour cost is due [e.g., 60 days] prior to the tour start date. For bookings made within [e.g., 60 days] of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • **Failure to Pay:** If full payment is not received by the due date, Zeylona Travels reserves the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • **Cancellation by You:**

    • Less than [e.g., 30 days] prior to departure: [e.g., 100%] of total tour cost.

In such cases, you will be offered an alternative tour or a full refund of payments made, excluding non-recoverable costs (e.g., non-refundable flights, visa fees). We are not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred.
  • **Refund Process:** Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within [e.g., 30] business days of the cancellation confirmation.

4. Changes and Amendments

  • **Changes by You:** Any changes to your confirmed booking (e.g., dates, itinerary, number of travelers) are subject to availability and may incur amendment fees and additional costs.
  • **Changes by Zeylona Travels:** While we strive to adhere to published itineraries, we reserve the right to make minor changes (e.g., accommodation, transport, order of activities) due to operational reasons, local conditions, or unforeseen events. We will notify you of any significant changes as soon as possible.

5. Travel Insurance

**Travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers booking with Zeylona Travels.** It is your responsibility to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation/interruption, personal liability, baggage loss, and other unforeseen circumstances. We require proof of valid travel insurance prior to departure.

6. Passports, Visas, and Health

  • **Responsibility:** You are solely responsible for ensuring you have a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity from your return date), necessary visas, and comply with all health requirements for entry into Sri Lanka.
  • **Advice:** While we may offer general advice, it is your responsibility to check with relevant embassies, consulates, and health authorities for the latest requirements.

7. Health and Safety

  • **Fitness to Travel:** You confirm that you are medically fit to undertake the chosen tour. If you have any medical conditions or disabilities, you must inform Zeylona Travels at the time of booking.
  • **Safety Measures:** We implement reasonable safety measures and work with vetted local partners. However, travel involves inherent risks, and you agree to follow the instructions of our guides and local authorities.
  • **Emergency:** In case of emergency, Zeylona Travels will provide assistance, but costs incurred (e.g., medical evacuation) are your responsibility, covered by your travel insurance.

8. Limitation of Liability

Zeylona Travels acts as an agent for various third-party service providers (e.g., hotels, airlines, transport companies, local guides). We are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or inconvenience caused by the acts or omissions of these third-party providers. Our liability for any claim arising from your booking is limited to the total amount paid by you for the tour.

9. Force Majeure

Zeylona Travels is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, natural disasters, epidemics, or government restrictions.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking with Zeylona Travels, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
